How We Rate Crypto Casinos
Every Trust Score on this site comes from the same six weighted criteria. Here they are, with the weights, what each one measures, and what we deliberately refuse to score.
The Weights

Each criterion is scored 0–10. The Trust Score is the weighted average, rounded to one decimal. No criterion is scored on a curve and none is adjusted after the fact to produce a preferred ranking.
What Each Criterion Measures
Rewards & value — 25%
Rakeback, cashback, recurring reloads and VIP rewards — how much of the house edge actually comes back to you, and whether it arrives with strings attached.
Scored high when rebates are paid on turnover, credited without wagering requirements, and available from low tiers rather than gated behind volume.
Payouts & limits — 20%
Withdrawal speed, caps, verification behaviour and — most importantly — the aggregate pattern of what players report happening when they try to take out a large amount.
This is the heaviest single criterion after rewards because it is the only failure mode that can cost you everything rather than merely annoying you.
Bonus terms — 15%
The wagering multiplier, what it applies to, game weighting, maximum bet while active, time limits and cashout caps.
Counter-intuitively, an operator with no welcome bonus can score highest here. Nothing to clear beats a large bonus you cannot clear.
Licensing & transparency — 15%
Which regulator, whether a specific certificate number is published, and how consistently the operator describes its own licensing.
A published, checkable Curaçao certificate scores well. An Anjouan licence, or licensing that different sources report differently, scores poorly.
Player reputation — 15%
The pattern in independent player reports and review platforms — particularly what the negative reviews have in common, which is far more informative than the average score.
We look at the shape of the complaints, not the volume. Every large operator has unhappy players; a recurring specific complaint is the signal.
Game range — 10%
Library size, provider coverage, quality of in-house originals and whether a sportsbook is included.
Deliberately the lightest weight. Every operator licenses from the same studios, so headline game counts mostly measure marketing.
What We Do Not Score
- Commission rate. The industry standard is to rank by what a brand pays. We rank five brands that pay us nothing, which makes that impossible by construction.
- Design and interface. Real, but not worth a percentage point of anyone's money.
- Headline bonus size. Scored only through bonus terms, because size without terms is meaningless — a $2,000 bonus at 40× is worth less than a $200 cashback with nothing to clear.
- "Provably fair" as a virtue in itself. It proves a result was not altered after your bet. It says nothing about whether the odds favour you, which they do not.
- Sponsorships and celebrity endorsements. Marketing spend is not evidence of anything except marketing spend.
Why Nothing Scores Above 8
Every operator in this sector runs on offshore licensing. That caps what any of them can earn on transparency and recourse, and it is not a criticism of any individual brand — it is a structural fact about crypto gambling. A UKGC-licensed operator with mandatory dispute resolution and segregated player funds would score differently on two criteria, and there are none in this comparison because none of them accept crypto on these terms.
Read the numbers as relative rankings within a category that is uniformly weaker on player protection than regulated onshore gambling. A 7.5 means "the best of these", not "safe".
