How Stake VIP Levels Work

Stake's VIP programme is a ladder of cumulative wager thresholds. You do not climb it by depositing, by winning, or by being active — only by turnover. Every bet you place adds to a lifetime total, and when that total crosses a threshold you move up a tier and receive a level-up bonus.

That distinction matters more than most players realise. A player who deposits $100 and turns it over forty times has wagered $4,000. A player who deposits $4,000 and plays it once has wagered the same amount. The VIP system treats them identically.

Stake VIP Tiers And Wager Requirements

These are the cumulative wager thresholds most commonly reported by the community. Stake can change them, and regional programmes differ:

The jumps get steep quickly. Reaching Gold takes $100,000 of turnover; reaching Platinum VI takes a hundred times that. Obsidian, at a reported $1 billion wagered, exists mostly as a headline.

The 1× / 2× / 3× Weighting

Not all wagering counts the same. The widely reported weighting is that regular casino games count at 1×, Stake Originals at 2×, and sports bets at 3×. If that holds, $10,000 wagered on sports advances your VIP progress as much as $30,000 wagered on third-party slots.

The calculator above applies this weighting, so you can see how much difference your choice of games makes to the climb. It is the single largest lever available to anyone actually chasing a tier.

Is Chasing A VIP Tier Worth It?

Here is the part VIP calculators usually leave out. Reaching a tier requires turnover, and turnover costs money — that is what a house edge is. At a 2% average edge, wagering $100,000 to reach Gold has an expected cost of about $2,000. If the level-up bonus and improved rakeback do not exceed that, chasing the tier is a losing proposition dressed up as a reward.

For a player who was going to wager that much anyway, VIP rewards are a genuine rebate and worth claiming. For a player who increases their turnover specifically to reach a tier, the maths runs the other way. Our Stake stats calculator will show you the expected cost of any turnover figure.

How Accurate Is This?

Stake does not publish the formulas behind its VIP rewards, weekly bonus or monthly bonus — they are proprietary and adjusted over time. Every rate on this page is therefore an editable input with a community-reported default, not a claim of fact.

Use it the way you would use a mortgage estimator: to understand the shape of the thing and to compare scenarios, not to predict a number to the cent. If your actual bonus differs, the operator is right and this page is wrong.

Stake VIP Level Calculator — Frequently Asked Questions

How is Stake VIP level calculated?
By cumulative amount wagered over the lifetime of the account, not by deposits or winnings. Crossing a threshold promotes you to the next tier and triggers a level-up bonus.
How much do I need to wager to reach Gold on Stake?
A commonly reported $100,000 in weighted wager. Bronze is around $10,000 and Silver around $50,000, though Stake can change these and does not publish them as a fixed table.
Do all games count the same toward VIP progress?
No. The widely reported weighting is 1× for regular casino games, 2× for Stake Originals and 3× for sports betting — so what you play changes how fast you climb.
Does losing help me level up faster?
No. VIP progress is based on turnover only. Winning and losing bets both count identically toward the total.
Can I lose a VIP level?
Tiers are based on cumulative lifetime wager, so they are not lost through inactivity in the way some loyalty programmes work. Ongoing perks such as reload bonuses may still depend on recent activity.
Is this calculator official?
No. Fake Stake is an independent free-play simulator with no affiliation to Stake. The thresholds used here are community-reported and should be verified against your own account.
