Responsible Gambling
Fake Stake takes no deposits and pays out nothing. But our games simulate gambling, and we link to real casinos — so this page matters.
The Maths, Stated Plainly
Every real casino game is built with a house edge. Roulette keeps about 2.7% of every wager on a single-zero wheel; most slots return somewhere between 94% and 97% over an enormous number of spins. Individual sessions swing wildly in both directions, which is exactly what makes it entertaining — but the long-run expected value for a player is negative in every game, in every casino, without exception. No betting system changes this. Martingale, Fibonacci, "due" numbers and hot streaks are all descriptions of variance, not ways to beat it.
Warning Signs
Gambling has become a problem, or is on its way there, if you recognise several of these:
- Betting more than you planned, or more than you can comfortably lose
- Chasing losses — increasing stakes to win back what is gone
- Borrowing money, selling things, or using money meant for bills to gamble
- Lying to family or friends about how much you play or lose
- Gambling to escape stress, low mood, boredom or anxiety
- Feeling restless or irritable when you try to cut down
- Missing work, sleep, or time with people because of gambling
- Relief rather than enjoyment when you win
Limits That Actually Work
- Decide your loss limit before you open the site, not during a session. Write it down.
- Set a time limit too. Long sessions erode judgement more reliably than large stakes do.
- Never deposit to chase. The second deposit of a session is the one that does the damage.
- Keep gambling money separate from money that has a job — rent, food, bills, savings.
- Do not gamble drunk, exhausted or upset.
- Use the operator's own tools. Licensed casinos offer deposit limits, session reminders, cool-off periods and self-exclusion. They work, and using them is not an admission of anything.

Self-Exclusion
Self-exclusion blocks you from an operator, or from every licensed operator in a jurisdiction, for a fixed period. It is free and it is enforced. National schemes include GAMSTOP in the UK and operator-level programmes elsewhere. Blocking software such as Gamban or BetBlocker adds a second layer across your devices, free of charge.
About This Site Specifically
Fake Stake is 18+. We hold no funds and cannot take a deposit from you under any circumstances. If free-play games are triggering an urge to gamble for real rather than satisfying it, that is a meaningful signal — close the tab and talk to one of the services above.
